Barney and Robin got seperated.  Barney did knock up the 31'st girl.  But she had a miscarriage.  Barney realize he thought he could go back being who he used to be.  Robin and Barney reconcilled got back together.  Tracy and Ted finally got married.  Ted finally tells his children how he met his mother and Tracy's voice comes in and tells them dinner is ready.  Ted looks at his friends photo about how he got here. That is what I would change.

S5E10  "Window" should have called "There is something about Maggie" in my opinion. In the end everyone wants to date Maggie like the movie "There is something about Mary"! And of course there is a TED too..Am I the only one who thought about this?? 

Penny must've been born before december 2015, because Ted is seen watching a football game with the boys in 2015 with Penny. He says girls are not allowed except for Penny.

While Ted is waiting for the train after the wedding and talk to the old lady, his hand is banded. Anyone knows why?

So I was thinking about Marshall and Lily and about their moving to Rome. When Marshall insists that they are moving to Rome in "Daisy," there is a flash forward about their time in Rome. However, when Barney gets drunk and everyone vows to never get drunk again, Marshall's flash forward shows that he actually did become a judge, contradicting their plans to move to Rome which have already been confirmed. Am I missing something?

Hi Everybody, I wanted to know in which episode Robin says she's never dating again or she'll never get married, and the gang tells her that whenever sbdy says that, rather sooner than later meets the love of her life or gets married.

So I've watched all HIMYM episodes about 4 times around. Started again for the 5th time around and i noticed something in season one about Marshall and Lily...

In Zip, Zip, Zip, Lily claims to have never peed in front of Marshall. Although 8 episodes prior to that in Slutty Pumpkin, Lily in her parrot costume says she has to pee and Marshall follows her to the bathroom and tells Ted that it's a complicated costume. So Lily has peed while he was in the room before.

Hi, many of you have already seen the alternate official ending. Me too. I liked the two finales but I prefer the original official ending. My reasons:

I feel the official original ending is more romantic and emotional. Tracy dies and that is sad I agree. But the Music of Downtown Train in the train scene is very sweet and special. Besides, Ted holding the Blue French Horn (reminding us how all it started) and giving it to Robin 25 years later is also very romantic (at least for me).

The alternate official ending is happier (Tracy doesn´t die) but we don´t see neither the old Ted nor the kids. The alternate ending is good but for me it´s very simple and the music is not as good as the original ending.

Finally, I wasn´t really surprised when I saw the original official ending 6 months ago. The creators gave us clues and they kept insisting until the wedding chapter about Robin and Ted (The "I´m in love with her" scene with Jeanette, the "I´ll always have feelings for her" scene in the beach with Barney, the "There is just a top one and It´s you" scene with Robin and the “Shouldn´t I be with the guy who steals me the blue French horn” scene).

I remember telling a friend a month before the ending: Why do they keep insisting about Ted and Robin? At the end the reason was that they were going to end up together.

One day before the final episode airing my real concern was if the mother would die and If Ted was ending up with Robin or Tracy. It wasn´t really about how Ted met the mother (The theory about Robin divorce, Tracy dying and Ted ending up with Robin was already on Internet). I actually told my friend hours before the finale that something about Robin and Ted romance was going to be present in the final episode (I felt it).

I always supported and liked the Ted-Robin relationship and I always thought Barney never deserved Robin. I think the original finale wasn´t excellent but it was good.

I understand how many people feel about the finale but as I said, if you followed the clues you should not be so surprised of how it ended, and maybe even your heart always knew that Ted and Robin together were special.

That´s my opinion guys, let me know what you think.

im so confused before marshall quit his first job out of law school barney told the story of  blauman and at the end it said well barney said he died but in a season where like marshall was working at gnb for like a year blauman came out agian and now hes the star name of an episode alive weird right

I'm trying to make the timeline for Ted and Tracy's engagement through Penny's birth fit.

Here's the problem -

We know that Penny's at the "Star Wars" trilogy viewing in 2015. Whether she's a newborn or infant I'm not too concerned about, there are major labor issues with using newborn babies so Hollywood often uses infants instead.

All we know about when the Star Wars trlogy viewing occurs is it was when Ted and Marshall had finals. That would presumably mean May or December at most colleges.

In "The Lighthouse" it's stated twice that Ted wishes he was there with Tracy two years ago (instead of Cassie). That places Ted's first proposal to Tracy in 2015, presumably on the anniversary of the weekend Barney and Robin got married (last weekend of May 2013), although that isn't explicitly stated.

In "Last Forever, part one" Tracy says they can't get married in September because she won't fit into her wedding dress. Presumably she'll be showing by the second or third trimester. Obviously this scene has to take place after the proposal at the lighthouse and immediately after Tracy discovers that she's pregnant.

The problem is how can Tracy get pregnant after the proposal and still have Penny born in 2015?

The only solution I've been able to come up with assumes that Tracy's got irregular periods (so she doesn't immediately suspect she's pregnant when she misses one period), Penny was born premature, and the proposal took place earlier than assumed.

Here's the timeline -

Marchish 2015 - Ted and Tracy go to the Lighthouse to celebrate two years together (even though the anniversary of them getting together isn't until May). It's possible Penny's conceived on this trip. Afterwards they make preliminary plans to get married in September and start contacting their castle guy, hot air balloon guy, etc.

May 2015 - Tracy discovers that she's pregnant and tells Ted they can't get married in September because she won't fit into her wedding dress. At this point they may assume that the child is due in the January timeframe.

Novemberish 2015 - Penny's born premature.

December 2015 - Star Wars trilogy viewing.

Certainly the exact dates and be fiddled with - the trip to the lighthous and propsal could have been earlier (not likely it was later), Penny could have been born in early Decemeber with the trilogy viewing in late December, etc.

The alternate timeline which I had previously worked out had the proposal in May 2014, Tracy determines she's pregnant in June, and Penny born in early 2015, but that assumes that both "The Lighthouse" and "Last Forever Part 1" were incorrectly dated in 2015 when they should have been 2014. That timeline has the added benefit of having the triology viewing on one of the classic "Star Wars" holidays (May 4th - for the pun "May the Fourth be with you", or May 25th the anniversary of the day the first movie premiered.)

Thoughts?

Shouldn't the whole "Ted leaves Penny with Lily and Marshall and they take her to see Santa" be in the goofs? When Ted drops Penny off it's not in the apartment but at that time Lily and Marshall should have still been living there.

in an earlier episode they flashed forwards to the moment in "the exploding meatball sub" (the moment is when ted is about to tell marshall that lily left for spain but she arrives just in time so marshall doesn't know) and future ted says "but more on that later" anyone know which episode that was?
