Sophie and her dad run a business out of Pemberton's. Charlie and Jesse meet women they like. Val and Ellen treat themselves to a fancy open house.
Recap[]
Nick eavesdrops on a conversation and discovers that Sophie considers him to be her father, thanks to a surveillance camera. Sophie discloses that her mom, Lori, briefly met Nick at Lollapalooza three decades ago. They decide to connect as father and daughter and plan to have lunch together the next day. While Nick and Sophie struggle to find common ground, they bond over their shared love for storytelling.
Convinced that Swish is being unfaithful, Val prepares to end their relationship. However, she is taken aback when she learns that Swish has secretly been organizing a surprise engagement party. Val contemplates how to break up with Swish without hurting his feelings, as she has no interest in marriage or children.
During an open house, Valentina and Ellen stumble upon the home of pop star and fashion icon Missy Mortiz. In a series of events involving trying on Missy's headgear and accidentally upsetting her, they get kicked out of the house. In the meantime, Swish's grandmother's ring goes missing, but Val manages to find it and return it to Missy.
Nick confides in Sophie about the decline in business at his hotdog stand since the nearby bar closed down. Sophie suggests that Nick should sell his hotdogs at Pemberton's to revive his business. After a successful trial, Nick invites Sophie's cousin to impersonate a hotdog vendor to protect his territory.
Jesse, who hasn't dated in a while, invites Charlie to join him for a bar crawl. Charlie's charming English accent impresses the ladies, while Jesse's attempts at humor fall flat. They meet Julia and Angelina, and Jesse starts imitating an English accent to attract attention. Later, it is revealed that Angelina is already engaged.

- Sophie tells her father that she and her friends drink every night at Pemberton's, but not in a problematic way. Nevertheless, it is very strongly hinted that Future Sophie has an addiction to alcohol.
