Joel Adams was Robin's boss at Metro News 1.
In Return of the Shirt, Barney dares Robin to do and say a series of inappropriate things while on the air for Metro News 1. After spanking herself and saying she's a "dirty dirty girl", Robin is called into Joel's office. Robin worries that she is going to be reprimanded for her actions, but instead Joel asks her for advice about his dog. When she asks how her recent report went, Joel praises her for it, proving that not even Robin's boss watches Metro News 1.
