Meredith is a recurring character in the Hulu series, How I Met Your Father. She is portrayed by Leighton Meester.
Background[]
Meredith is Jesse Walker's ex-girlfriend and played guitar in their band. She publicly rejected Jesse's marriage proposal onstage during a performance at The Happy Idiot. The rejection was recorded and posted to YouTube, where it went viral.
Meredith later traveled to Europe to record her first solo album.
In season 2, Meredith and Jesse get back together briefly as Jesse helps Meredith promote her next tour. but they shortly broke up again in How I Met Your Father Season 2 as Meredith claimed onstage Jesse Walker "walked" out on her. As Jesse told Sid He and Meredith broke off their romantic relationship

- The name of "Meredith" also showed up in HIMYM S01E02 when Ted was pretend to keep it casual with Robin. After noticing the phone call was made by Robin, Ted picked up the phone and said, "Who is this? Meredith? "
