Royce is a girl Ted was dating when he first saw The Wedding Bride.
He dated her for a while waiting to find out what her "baggage" was and upon seeing the film finally realized that he was the one in the relationship with the baggage (having been left at the altar).
However, she eventually revealed she did have her own baggage: left at the altar three times, has a gambling addiction, lives in a studio apartment with her brother and even shares a bed with him. Ted then asks her to leave.
