After selling her portrait, Sophie recruits Jesse to help her impress the buyers. Val and Ellen go on a double date. Charlie forces a reluctant Sid and Hannah into a double date in reaction to Val.
Recap[]
Sophie gets a request from the person who bought her photo. He asks to meet her and Jesse and so they oblige. Once arriving at his apartment, they realize he is a Men's Right activist. They are shocked and take the photo back. Sophie and Jesse have a heart to heart- deciding to make up and recover their friendship. Sophie tells Jesse she is okay with his relationship with Meredith.
Meredith calls Jesse and he picks up the phone. Sophie makes a call herself and puts the photo on top of a taxi car. The taxi drives away.
Charlie tries to get over Valentina by dating again. He goes on a double date with another girl, Sid, and Hannah. Sid and Hannah really encourage the romance because the girl has a lot of airline miles they want to use but Charlie realizes what they're up to and they apologize. They give him an outfit to go out on a date when he is actually ready.
Valentina also goes on a double date- but with Ellen and Rachel. She has a fight with Rachel and Ellen tries to stop the fighting by turning the attention onto herself. Ellen admits she hates conflict and agrees to see a therapist.
Valentina admits to Sophie that she and Charlie might get back together eventually. Charlie ends up meeting someone else- a girl who looks just like Valentina.
Continuity[]
- Future Sophie not being able to remember Rando's real name or face is a reference to Future Ted not being able to remember Blah Blah's name in the original series. Unlike the former, Ted did manage to remember the name after while.
- Ellen, Valentina and Rachel "jinx" each other. The gag was first used in The Final Page - Part One of How I Met Your Mother.
Future References (Contains Spoilers)[]
- Future Sophie mentions that by the age of 40, she would kiss all of her friends (which presumably includes Jesse, Valentina, Charlie, Sid and Ellen).
- She had kissed Jesse in The Perfect Shot.
- Future Sophie's Son spoiled that Jesse's photo, which his mother lost because of a taxi, will eventually be returned by her and she promises to tell her son later how it happened. The lost and found photo is most likely a reference to Ted and Tracy's wandering yellow umbrella.
- Future Sophie tells her son that Ellen found herself a therapist and that she will tell him how she screwed that for her.
- This happens during Universal Therapy.
