Val brings Sophie to a work event so they can party all night with the rich and famous. Jesse wants to introduce the friends to a new girl he’s seeing, forcing them to spring into action and invoke the “Welcome Protocol”.

Valentina gets a promotion at work and receives a ticket for a Broadway premier after-party where her famous (and difficult) client is attending. Sophie wins a push-up contest between herself and the rest of the group to be Valentina's plus one. Problems erupt when it's discovered not one but two other guest are wearing the same dress as the aforementioned client so the two scramble to keep her from finding out.
Unfortunately, their plan fails, and Valentina promises to save Daphne's reputation in exchange for her not ruining Valentina's career. In the pantry, Sophie bonds with the chef, Robert, who asks her out.
Jesse matches with a woman named Dana, and the remainder of the group activate their "welcome protocol" as they do with a potential new member. They all take on different roles to make her feel welcome. However, Jesse realizes he doesn't like her, and the group tries to get rid of her by faking an emergency message.
