Wesleyan University is a private liberal arts college in Middletown, Connecticut. Ted, Marshall, Lily, Steve Henry, Maggie Wilks, Pete Durkenson, and Daryl LaCoutre all attended there. Matt Blitz attended this university before Ted, Marshall and Lily. It is also the college that Marvin goes to in 2030.
From 1998-2000, Ted served as the Program Director for the university radio station, 88.1 FM WESU Middletown. Ted operated as an on-air personality under the pseudonym Dr. X.
In Not a Father's Day, Marshall has a degree on his wall from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, OH.
In How I Met Your Father Jesse Walker and Sid attended the university as they become best friends and close knit.

Notes and Trivia[]
- The diplomas in Marshall's office at one point read "Ohio Wesleyan" referring to a different college. However, all other evidence suggests that they attended the Wesleyan in Connecticut.
- Show creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are Wesleyan University alumni[1].
- Although Ted graduated from Wesleyan with a degree in architecture, Wesleyan does not actually have an architecture major.[2]
